Dua Lipa (born in London) is an English musician and singer who was born on 22 August 1995, in London United Kingdom. After a stint as a model and actress, she signed with Warner Bros Records. She dropped her self-titled debut album in 2017. It reached the number three spot at the top of the U.K. album chart, and had eight singles, with the most notable being U.K. top-ten song New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa was honored with the Brit Award in the year 2018 for British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in many nations. Dua Lipa was born 22nd August 1995 in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Lipa's two grandfathers both were historians. There are two sisters, Rina Gjin and Gjin. Lipa learned to play the guitar as well as sing under the guidance of her dad Oda. He is the leader singer/guitarist for the Kosovan-rock band Oda. The band was heavily influenced by their father's music which featured his original compositions, as well as songs such David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics.
